Introduction
Carinoglymmius is a small subgenus with three species from Borneo, Sumatra, and the Andaman Islands.Characteristics
The antenna is without an apical stylet. The clypeal setae are absent. The paramedian and marginal grooves of the pronotum are dilated. The outer carinae of the pronotum are very narrow and linear, while the inner carinae are variously developed. The eye is large and deep. The temporal setae are absent. Elytral setae are numerous, with complete series on intervals II, IV, and VI. The spur of the middle tibia is straight. The abdominal sterna III-V each have one transverse row of coarse punctures. The female has lateral pits that are deeper on sternum IV than on sternum V.
