Introduction
Navitia is a subgenus with three species from Fiji and Vanuatu in the southwest Pacific.Characteristics
The antenna has an apical stylet. The basal setae and the clypeal setae are absent. The eye is large and has a facetted cornea. The frontal grooves are very shallow, and the frontal space is wide and crescentic. The medial angles of the temporal lobes are simple, and the temporal lobes are without translucent areas. There is one temporal seta. The postorbital tubercle is absent. The gular grooves each contain one large pit.

The inner and outer pronotal carinae are equal in width. The marginal groove is abbreviated posteriorly, and it is replaced there by a row of punctures. The elytral setae are well developed. There is a complete row of them on stria IV. The lateral pits of sternum IV are enlarged in both sexes. The punctures of striae III-V are each aligned in one row on each segment. The spur of the middle tibia is curved.
