Omoglymmius (Hemiglymmius)

Introduction

Hemiglymmius is a subgenus with eight species. One of them is Arican and the reset Oriental.

Characteristics

The antennae have an apical stylet and basal setae (confined to segments IX and X in O. africanus). The clypeal setae are absent. The eye is large, and the cornea is facetted. The medial angle of the temporal lobe is simple, without a translucent area. The postorbital tubercle is present.

The spur of the middle tibia is curved anteriorly. The punctures of the abdominal sterna III-V are scattered. The lateral pits of the female are deepest on sternum IV, but they are only poorly developed.
